Currently due to the COVID pandemic we are not running our clubs offer. We hope to launch a revised programme of extra-curricular activities later in the autumn term.
At Friars, the children are typically able to attend many different clubs. This enables everyone to pursue their interests and hone existing skills or develop new ones.
Clubs usually run before school, during lunchtimes and after school. An example timetable is below:
At Friars Primary School we usually run a brilliant FREE Breakfast Club partly thanks to the wonderful financial support we get from Greggs the bakers, There are always healthy breakfast choices available each day. At present Breakfast Club is not operating but we hope to relaunch it later in the autumn term.
When it does return, Breakfast Club will begin at 8 a.m. and will finish at 8.30 a.m. when the children head to their classrooms. The club is run by our own wonderful staff, who ensure that all of the children are well cared for and learn good manners and social skills.
A waiting list typically exists for Breakfast Club.
After School Club
Over the past two years we have offered extended after school provision with sessions being available from 3-6pm Monday to Friday.
Again, unfortunately the club is not running currently, but we do hope it can start again in the near future.
Like Breakfast Club, this provision is led by our own staff and is very reasonably priced at £4 per hour or £10 for the full 3 hours. This includes a light snack. If you are interested in this provision for the future, please speak with a member of the office staff.
