Carol Service

Thank you to Mrs Dyer for organising the carol service again this year. The children did us proud with some fantastic singing of the songs which each Key Stage have been practising over recent weeks. Thank you also to the readers, especially Adam and Holly from Year 6, who added to the occasion by retelling the story of Christmas between the carols. It was a great way to start our last week before the holidays.

KS1 Celebration Assembly

Key Stage 1 children have had a great week! They performed their Nativity to proud parents/carers and grandparents. We are now looking forward to our class parties on Tuesday 20th December. Achievement Certificates Congratulations to the children pictured below who have impressed their teachers this half term. Weekly Achievement Certificates and Buddy Certificates These children were awarded achievement certificates for working hard this week or being a good friend.

Winter wonderland

In the run up to Christmas, year groups organised their Winter Wonderland days. Parents and carers were invited into their child’s class to help them make Christmas decorations. There was a fantastic turnout across the school and the corridors rang with the sound of Christmas music. Glitter and coloured card was used to good effect and the classrooms were transformed by the fantastic decorations. There were stars, stained glass windows and snowflakes to name but a few. It was a lovely way to start the festive season and we are very grateful that so many parents turned out to support the events.

KS2 Celebration Assembly

Well done to our certificate winners this week. It included some Year 3 pen licences which is great to see. Stirling have set up an exciting end to the year by coming first in both KS1 (joint with Caernarfon) and KS2 this week. Extra play time is up for grabs next week so keep earning those fantasticos!

KS1 Celebration Assembly

Congratulations to the hardworking children in Key Stage 1 this week. They have been learning lots of songs for their Christmas Nativity, as well as continuing with their normal English and maths lessons. Well done everyone!

Football vs. Sacred Heart

What a difference two weeks makes!! After the St Marys game, where we couldn’t score a goal, to beating Sacred Heart 6-1. The game started and for the first part of the game Sacred Heart passed the ball around well but didn’t have a shot. We then started to get some good tackles in and passed the ball and with our first attach Harry beat the keeper to score. Just minutes later, a good tackle from Denim fell to Kian, who played a pin point pass to Harry to slot home for his second goal. Things got even better before half-time when Harry completed his hat trick after some good work from Gideon. At the break we made changes and Christian and Tristan were brought on and immediately the two worke

Boccia & New Age Kurling

On 1st December we attended the two disability sports of Boccia and New Age Kurling. Both of these sports requires a sharp combination of mental acuity and skill. The idea of both games is to get as near a centre point as possible, with Boccia using balls and New Age Kurling using ‘stones’ with wheels. In the morning the boccia took place and unfortunately we were knocked out of the competition, even though we only lost 1 out of 7. The team performed well and put their training into good use. In the afternoon we played New Age Kurling and, although we don’t have a set the team took to it brilliantly. The tactics that were played were excellent and with Bella taking out an opposing stone with

KS2 Celebration Assembly

Well done to everyone who received a mention in assembly today. There were children who received certificates for sporting achievements as well as academic effort and attainment. Congratulations to 3T for winning the attendance cup. There are clearly a lot of bugs going around at the moment as attendance has been down unfortunately. Windsor were champions for another week in KS1 and KS2. Stirling are hot on their heels heading into Christmas though.
