KS2 Celebration Assembly

Well done to all of our certificate winners today. Congratulations also go to Stirling who won the House Cup again this week. It is going to be a close run thing this term. Finally, congratulations also go to 6D who won the Attendance Cup this week with 99.2%. It means that they have a head start with our new competition. We have been lucky enough to have an attendance raffle sponsored by The Lions Club. Each week, every child who achieves 100% attendance will have their name put into a prize draw. At the end of every half term the draw will be made and the lucky winner will receive £50 worth of vouchers. So make sure that you get 100% every week to increase your chance of winning!

Well done to everybody for receiving their certificates in today's assembly. In addition to the certificates we heard some sonnets from Year 5 and saw a superb trophy won by Lily in Year 6 for synchronised trampolining. Great work! Well done to 4O for winning the Attendance Cup with 99% and to Caernarfon for winning the House Cup. We hope that everyone has a great half term and we look forward to seeing you in a week's time.

Congratulations to everybody who received their certificates this week. It sounds like we are close to a few more pen licences in Year 3. Fingers crossed for next week! Well done 6B for achieving 100% attendance this week. This is a superb effort. Keep it up! Finally, well done to Stirling for winning the House Cup.

Fire Safety afternoon

On Tuesday 31st January Year 3 were visited by Stuart from Essex County Fire & Rescue Service. He gave a very informative presentation about fire safety within the home. The children learnt about some of the main causes of fire and how to prevent a fire from occurring. Some of the children were very surprised to learn that leaving a phone, Ipad or other electronic item on your bed is a fire hazard. Hopefully the children have gone home and shared the message with you, in particular these points to remember - Get Out! Stay out! Get the Fire Service out!
