We had an emotional assembly on the final day of term during which we said goodbye to children and staff as well as celebrating the achievements of certain individuals. The whole of Year 6 have worked so hard this year but there were awards handed out to children for either achievement and progress in a number of areas. The Year 6 teachers are very proud of everybody in the year group and it was lovely to celebrate their successes over the year. We were also very proud to be
Well done to Year 6 who performed their assembly to the school and to parents. There were lots of tears at the end but hopefully you leave with lots of happy memories to take with you to your new schools.
Congratulations to the children who received 100% attendance certificates for the 2016-2017 academic year.
Two year 6 children received prizes for having 100% attendance for several years. Emily G for 100% attendance since Year 1 and Lily O for 100% attendance since Year 2 – Well done girls!
Thank you to everyone who came along to support out Equality and Diversity Picnic. It was great to see so many of you there and we hope that you enjoyed the afternoon. Lots of you got involved in the art activities and there was a lovely atmosphere in the summer sunshine. A big thank you must also go to Mrs Stephens and her kitchen staff for making sure that everyone was fed and watered. We have had a lot of events recently such as sports day, the summer fair and a number of
Our illustrious cheerleaders had more good news this week. In addition to their previous medals, Grace, Phoebe, Eliza and Katerina achieved first place in their recent competition for Essex Stars. They had to travel all the way to Bournemouth for the weekend but the journey was worth it. The judges, who had come all the way from America, chose the team as their favourites and they achieved first place. The medals look fantastic and are very heavy!
Today, French club enjoyed a wonderful lunch prepared by the kitchen staff. The children chose either a traditional beef bourguignon or a lunch of cheeses and cold meats followed by a chocolate croissant. We even drank black currant juice from wine glasses (à votre santé!)

Well done to Year 3 for performing their assembly so well to parents and carers and to the rest of the school last week. They were able to demonstrate their learning from the year and did so in an entertaining and well-rehearsed manner. They covered the topics of the Stone Age, the Romans and the Vikings through parodies of Location, Location, Location, Masterchef and The X Factor. Here is part of the Masterchef scene. Greg and John had better look over their shoulders; they
