KS1 Celebration Assembly

Today was a very strange celebration assembly as we were all wearing our jeans to support ‘Jeans for Genes Day’. Well done to the children who were awarded achievement certificates for excellent effort in their work. There were lots of nominations for ‘Buddy Certificates’ this week, which just shows how kind and caring our children are at Friars. Team Points Two teams shared the ‘Team Cup’ this week- Caernarfon and Windsor. Attendance Cup The cup was presented to 1S this week – very well done! Remember the children receive a raffle ticket for the Attendance Raffle for each week that they have 100% attendance. The raffle will be drawn at the end of term.

KS 2 Celebration Assembly

Well done to our certificate winners this week. It was great to hear how well you have settled into the year and how hard you are working. We also saw a medal awarded to Hannah Osborne for her charity bike ride in adverse weather conditions last Sunday. Congratulations to Paige Hopkirk who has won a magazine design competition and brought her winning entry in to show the school. 5B won the Attendance Cup this week and Stirling won the House Cup in both Key Stage 1 and 2.

KS1 Celebration Assembly

It was an absolute pleasure to lead our first assembly of 2017 -2018. The teachers all celebrated how well the children had settled into their new classes and were ‘ready to learn’. Achievement Certificates These certificates are awarded to children who have showed perseverance, independence and resilience during the week. The teachers found it difficult to choose just two children! Buddy Certificates The children nominate a child from their class who has been a really good friend. Well done to Kayden, Harvey, Jae and Ethan who were good buddies this week.
