Well done to our certificate winners this week. There were lots of comments from teachers about the progress which they are seeing from their children. It was also great to hear about Alex's success in his diving competition in Leeds. 5MA won their first Attendance Cup of the year and it was a clean sweep for Stirling in the House Cup.

On Thursday 12th October, Friars held their Harvest assembly. Parents and careers were extremely generous and the food display looked superb! The assembly began with the song 'Cauliflowers Fluffy'. This was followed by a talk from the Rev. David Mayne, the minister at Shoeburyness and Thorpe Bay Baptist Church, who are a centre for foodbank distributions. Our leaf winners were nominated by their teachers for a variety of reasons this week including brilliant independent work, marvellous maths and for settling so well into a new school. Our buddy leaf winners were nominated by their classmates for being great friends, playing with them when they had nobody to play with, helping them do something new and for being so helpful around the classroom.
