Breakfast club crafts
This week the children have enjoyed making Christmas cards for a competition run by Greggs. We would also like to thank the PA who have kindly donated some money for Breakfast Club resources.

KS1 Celebration Assembly
Achievement Certificates Congratulations to the children awarded achievement certificates this week. They have all worked hard to improve their reading, writing and maths skills. Buddy Certificates Our children at Friars nominate children for being kind and helpful to their friends. KS2 Celebration Assembly
Well done to our certificate winners this week. There were lots of comments from teachers about the progress which they are seeing from their children. It was also great to hear about Alex's success in his diving competition in Leeds. 5MA won their first Attendance Cup of the year and it was a clean sweep for Stirling in the House Cup.

Here are our fabulous buddies from Key Stage 1. They have shown that they know how to look after their friends this week. Achievement Certificates Achievement certificates were awarded to children for showing perseverance when faced with new challenges and also attempting new activities with enthusiasm. Well done! Harvest Assembly
On Thursday 12th October, Friars held their Harvest assembly. Parents and careers were extremely generous and the food display looked superb! The assembly began with the song 'Cauliflowers Fluffy'. This was followed by a talk from the Rev. David Mayne, the minister at Shoeburyness and Thorpe Bay Baptist Church, who are a centre for foodbank distributions. KS2 Celebration Assembly
Well done to all our children who achieved certificates this week! A special mention to 4A as the most focused class in PE and Bradley who was excellent at following instructions! Team winners: Caernarvon Key Stage 1 and Stirling Key Stage 2. 6D won attendance in Key Stage 2 with 99.3%!

KS1 Celebration assembly
Our leaf winners were nominated by their teachers for a variety of reasons this week including brilliant independent work, marvellous maths and for settling so well into a new school. Our buddy leaf winners were nominated by their classmates for being great friends, playing with them when they had nobody to play with, helping them do something new and for being so helpful around the classroom. We also gave out certificates to the children that completed the Essex libraries
