Celebration Assembly – 26th November 2021
It was another great week in KS1 and KS2 this week with certificates being awarded for a range of outstanding reasons including great maths work, using verbs and adjectives brilliantly in sentences, much improved handwriting, great focus and application in assessment tests and for creating amazing poetry. Year 5/6 Girls Football
The Y5/6 girls headed to Bournes Green on Friday evening to play in friendly football matches. These games were organised as part of Friars’ pledge to grow girls football during the 2021/22 season. This was the toughest game for the girls so far, as Bournes Green wanted the friendly before competing in the Essex Finals. Celebration Assembly - 19th November 2021
In KS1 this week, we celebrated some brilliant work and heard how certificates had been awarded for such brilliant reasons as… great focus on early morning work, super phonics, participation in reading and settling into our classes so well. Celebration Assemblies 5th and 12th November 2021

Royal Opera House Visit
On Friday 5th November, we took 40 excited members of the school choir to the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London to watch the Schools Matinee production of Royal Ballet's Giselle. A story of love, betrayal, ghostly spirits and haunted forests. Friars v Greenways – Two matches involving Friars A and B Teams
Friars played against Greenways on Wednesday 3rd November 2021 after school. I watched the A team game with Corey in goal. Greenways score the first goal of the match.
