Celebration Assembly – 25th February 2022
This week we relaunched our core school values as shown below and we shared these with the children on Monday. As a result, all of our certificate winners received their awards in line with these important areas that flow through all parts of our week at Friars.
We also returned to our ‘live’ assemblies following the virtual ones before half term.
It was lovely to actually see the children receive their awards again and really celebrate all of the great things that have happened this week.
Well done to our KS1 winners shown below…
…and our KS2 winners shown here
Buddy Awards
A big well done and thank you to Saya (1C) for being a brilliant friend this week and earning a buddy award from her class mates.
Shout Outs!
This week our assembly ‘shout outs’ went to: Yousif (1C), Kendrick (3ML), Hannah and Tyler H (6D). Thank you for your hard work this week.
Pen Licences
Another pen licence was awarded for brilliant handwriting this week. A big well done to Sophie in 3JD for receiving this award. A great effort!
PE Superstars
This week it was the turn of our KS1 children to a sweep the PE awards with 2S claiming the PE class award and Max receiving the individual award for his brilliant hockey skills.
Attendance
In KS1, Class 2B swept to victory to win the attendance cup with a best in school 99%. They were closely followed by class 5VW, who took the KS2 cup for a second week in succession with an equally impressive 98%. Well done to both classes!
Team Points
This week we placed even more emphasis on our weekly team cup as not only is the weekly cup up for grabs, but every team point collected now goes towards our grand total which will decide who wins the new ‘Friars Cup’ at the end of the year.
Well done to Stirling (Blue) who won the KS1 cup and Windsor (Red) and Caernarfon (yellow) who shared the KS2 cup this week.
The overall team points for the year, September to date stand as below;
Congratulations to all of our winners this week!
