Celebration Assembly

Wow, what a great week at Friars, thoroughly demonstrated by the amount of awards given out in our celebration assemblies this week.

Well done to our certificate winners in KS1 who have worked hard across the week to impress their teachers.

In KS2 there were some fantastic achievements earning the children below their awards. These included acting on constructive criticism and giving maximum effort to achieve great results in their work.

Mrs Pinckney awarded computing certificates to children across KS2 that have demonstrated not only great computing skills of their own, but also the ability and skills to help others in their class. Well done and thank you to all of our ‘computing superstars’.

The KS1 children below demonstrated the attributes of kindness, patience and helpfulness by winning one of our Buddy awards this week. Thank you to all of our ‘buddies’ for being great role models to others.

There were also an amazing amount of children earning key word certificates in Year 2 this week – well done to all!

This week in KS1, the Team Cup was shared by Caernarfon and Stormont, while Caernarfon made sure it was a double celebration by also taking the KS2 Team Cup for the second week running.

The KS1 attendance cup was won by 1C this week who recorded 98.3%, while Class 5BW continued their dominance with another win and the best attendance record in school this week of 99.3%.

Finally, each week Mr Telling and Miss Springett choose the PE Superstar of the week and the class that have shown the most effort, teamwork, competitiveness and sportsmanship in PE. Well done to Layla in 3ML for demonstrating great hockey technique to win the individual award and to 5VW for being the best performing class.

A huge well done to all of our winners this week!
