Celebration Assembly – 10th December 2021

Achievement Certificates

Another ‘virtual’ assembly this week but still lots to celebrate as we heard how certificates had been awarded for brilliant behaviour, developing confidence, perseverance and determination, amazing work in reading, writing and maths and great progress in handwriting and presentation. Awards were also given for super art work, great effort during outdoor learning and for fabulous sewing.

A big well done to all of our certificate winners below;

Mya & Louie (1B), Jonathan & Harry (1C), Callum & Max (2S), Charlie & Luca (2B), Bessie & Jake (3ML), Faith & Chazo (3JD), Brooke & Alicia (4B), Tia & Leo (4S), George & Corey (5VW), The whole of Class 5BW, Holly, Maddy, Harvey R, Gracie & Robbie (6D) and Kelcee & Max (6G).

Computing and maths awards were also given by Mrs Pinckney to Emelia (Year 3), Tate (Year 4) and Classes 2B and 2S.


Club 72 and Club 144

Mrs Bailey recognised the great efforts made in our new times tables challenges across KS1 and KS2 since October.

Year 2 were recognised for the improvements made in their ‘Club 72’ challenge…33 children achieved their bronze award, 16 children reached their silver award and Daisy and Cooper have already earned gold level – brilliant achievements!

Across Years 3- 6 the children have been taking part in the ‘Club 144’ challenge. Again, most children have improved on their scores and everybody was awarded a certificate by Mrs Bailey. A number of children deserve a special mention for achieving 144/144 and they were …Tate, Billy B, Henley, Alfie, Arnolds, Jeffrey, Riley A, Harleigh, Henry G, Joyin, Kayden, Molly W, Phoebe S, Sydney, Harry-Jack, Kayleigh G and Safiyyah. Well done to you all, Mrs Bailey is very proud of you!


Shout Outs

There were lots of assembly shout outs this week so well done to Max (2S), Class 3JD, Ava, Ellie-Mae, Sydney (Year 6), Gracie S, (Year 6), Mrs Esdaile and Mr’s O’ Donovan’s English group in year 6 and Tyler (6G).

Years 1 and 2 and Reception also received special shout outs for their amazing Christmas performances this week!

PE Super Stars

Our PE super star awards this week went to Class 5BW for showing great sportsmanship in PE and Toby (6D) for his knowledge and skills in basketball.


Attendance

Class 1B won the KS1 Attendance Cup with 98.7% and Class 4B were awarded the KS2 Attendance Cup recording, a best in school figure of 99.7%.


Team Points

We had a 3-way tie in KS1 with Sterling, Windsor and Stormont sharing the KS1 cup, while in KS2, Caernarfon won to ensure that all of our teams were celebrating this week.
