Celebration Assembly 1st / 5th June 2026

On Monday 1^st June, we gave out ‘big’ Celebration Certificates to celebrate achievement from Summer 1. Well done to… Stanley, Alice, Harry B, Ivy, Ava, Harry D, Lola, Mollie, Jase and Kaitlyn.

KS1

On Friday 5^th June, Celebration certificates were given out for the following reasons:

• stunning artwork this week

• trying one’s very best in everything 

• acting on feedback in English lessons 

• great independence in English learning 

Handwriting Certificates were awarded to 

Buddy Awards were given to Teddy and Alfie.

Walk to School winners were the children in 2W!

KS2

On Friday 5^th June, Celebration certificates were given out for the following reasons:

• showing excellent enthusiasm in Science Week this 

• creating a fantastic art and science silhouette with lots of detail

• trying really hard in maths working with calculations in time 

• Really focused writing using all of the features needed

• creativity during science lessons and creating great sculptures

• increasing resilience and effort in all learning

• writing metaphors for different scenes for A Midsummer Night’s Dream

• good participation in all learning and lessons

• great learning behaviours and engagement in lessons

• always being willing to help others

• determination in writing. 

• using the initiative to make changes in writing

• writing a formal letter of complaint using key features such as tone and language

• starting a new school and settling in well

• being consistent in writing 

Times Tables Rockstars of the Week were Harry B (3^rd), Ben (2^nd), Alfie H (1^st). Faith and Layla received Gone Green certificates.

Handwriting Certificates were awarded to Jamie, Liam and Tega.

Our Walk to School winners were 3SM for LKS2 and 5B for UKS2. They were lucky enough to receive spins of the attendance wheel as their prize. What did they win??? 3SM won an afternoon treat from the kitchen and 5B won a class disco.

Attendance

In Monday’s assembly we celebrated attendance from the week before the half-term break. It was a well done to Wrens and 5B who were the winners in Key Stage 1 and 2. They both received attendance stickers as did 6B. The sticker for 5B meant another ‘spin of the wheel’. 5B won a class disco! Woo!

In Friday’s assembly, Starlings won in Key Stage 1, and in Key Stage 2 our victorious class was 4A. Both classes received stickers.

What a great day we had on the last day of Summer 1. The sun came out, the sports were great and the picnic was lovely. And the results…

In KS1, Stormont was victorious with Stirling our runners-up. In third it was Windsor and in fourth place, Caernarfon. 

KS2 saw a reversal of the top two positions… Stirling was first with Stormont second. Windsor were once again in third with Caernarfon in fourth.

Well done to all of our teams, and thank you to everyone who came along to spectate.

Team Points

The Sports Day points usually make a difference in the race for the Friars Cup… First place gave Stirling and Stormont an extra 100 points! Third place for Windsor receives 60 points, and Caernarfon’s fourth place secures 40 points. With the usual weekly points, it has resulted in some changes in the race for the Friars Cup…

Stormont continue to lead the way in first, but… Stirling have climbed from 4^th to 2^nd! Caernarfon have slipped from 2^nd to 3^rd, and Windsor have dropped from 3^rd to 4^th. How exciting! We now have only 6 weeks left before we announce our winners for 2025-26!
