Rhythm Connections

Today, Friars Primary School was filled with the sound of music as we welcomed Rhythm Connections, a company dedicated to promoting music in schools across the country. The group, led by founder Marc, has been inspiring young musicians for many years—and their passion and energy truly shone through during today’s visit.

The morning began with a whole-school assembly featuring live performances on drums, piano, and double bass. The children were captivated by the musicians’ talent and enthusiasm, and they had the chance to join in throughout the session.

The highlight came when every child from Year 1 to Year 6 took part in a vibrant, rhythmic finale using boomwhackers, creating an incredible sound that filled the hall. It was a joyful experience for everyone involved, and the pupils left inspired and smiling.

We’re delighted that Rhythm Connections will be returning to work with us again next half-term, and we can’t wait to continue making music together!
