What a Concert!

Our Rock Steady concerts are becoming a real highlight of the school year, and this morning’s performances were no exception. The children have been working incredibly hard each week with Sam, their Rock Steady leader, and their dedication shone through on stage.

The concert opened with The 7 Shooting Stars, who performed We Will Rock You. The audience absolutely loved joining in! Next up were the Orange Stripy Tigers, confidently playing the well‑known Ghostbusters theme and showing brilliant teamwork throughout.

Our third band, New Wave, delivered an energetic version of Shotgun, with many children in the audience singing along. Finally, the Blue Flaming Lions impressed everyone with their performance of Shut Up and Dance, complete with some challenging additions that they handled brilliantly.

We are incredibly proud of every pupil who took part—from Year 1 right through to Year 6. Sam also shared that even Reception children are welcome to join, which is exciting news for our youngest budding musicians.

All of the children have put in a great deal of effort during their weekly sessions, and it truly paid off with today’s awe‑inspiring performances. Their confidence, teamwork, and musical skill were amazing to witness.

It was wonderful to see so many family members supporting the event, and we loved hearing that even more children are now eager to sign up. Leaflets will be sent home this week, but you can also find further information at the Rock Steady website: www.rocksteadymusicschool.com

Our band sessions currently take place on Tuesday mornings in the school’s lovely music room, and we are already looking forward to our summer concert.
