Year 2 Beach Visit

1 min read

Last Friday, Year 2 had a fantastic day at the beach, getting stuck into some proper seaside exploring! The children went beach combing and searching for crabs, getting wonderfully muddy along the way. They even headed into the mud barefoot,  definitely one of the highlights of the day! Using items they found on the beach, the children worked together creatively to make their own pictures. One group created an amazing house using feathers as smoke coming from the chimney and even a flip flop as the front door! It was brilliant to see them using their imaginations and working together with whatever they could find. There was plenty of exploring, creating, getting messy and discovering the coastline, giving the children a chance to learn outside the classroom and experience the beach in a completely hands-on way. A brilliant day of teamwork, creativity and adventure and plenty of very muddy feet!
