The children who attended Southend Week had a fabulous time this year.

The weather was superb, as were the children.

Day 1: A morning of fun filled sporting activities, rounders, throwing and catching skills, skipping based and team games took place which made the most of the lovely sunshine. The afternoon was taken up with a Graffiti Art Master Class led by our very own Mr. Smith. The children created individual pieces of artwork based upon their names that were made to look 3 dimensional with shadowing.

Day 2: Glorious sunshine awaited us at the seafront. We ate outside and played on the beach before becoming pro-golfers from the Aztec and Inca tribes at Adventure Golf. One golfer succeeded in getting a hole in one! We also used Lego Spike, where we were able to create Lego models that contained a motor which we were then able to instruct and make move.

Day 3:  A mixture of activities due to the inclement weather – the art work the children produced is already displayed in school. We were treated to chips during the afternoon.

Day 4: Indirock was the challenge today. Absolutely fabulous, the children enjoyed themselves hanging from the walls, moving themselves along without their feet touching the ground. They rose to the occasion like true mountaineers. This was followed by a delicious lunch at The Brickhouse! There was a great choice of food followed by ice cream and sauce.

Day 5: Kids Kingdom – the children thoroughly enjoyed this and took on the challenge of Jelly Mountain!

The week was great fun and everyone enjoyed themselves.
