Celebration Assembly 26th April 2024

KS1 Awards

This week our KS1 certificates were awarded to our Year 1 and Year 2 children for:

  • showing greater independence in writing

  • acting on advice

  • completing fraction work challenges

  • working incredibly hard

  • taking risks in learning

  • super presentation in geography

  • excellent writing about summer

  • super maths work using arrays

Buddy Awards went to…. Ivy for showing kindness and patience, Rosie who went back to help someone who had fallen over, Lexi for helping a friend with their bag and Leo for playing fairly on the basketball court.

This week our KS2 certificates were awarded to our children for lots of excellent reasons, including showing resilience, whole class effort and perseverance.

Across the week, it has been lovely to see so many children wearing their ‘Excellent’ and ‘100%’ attendance badges for the spring term. Hopefully lots more children will receive these this summer.

This week our attendance winners were 2G in Key Stage 1 and 6L in Key Stage 2. Congratulations to both classes.

Team Points

Last week Windsor took the lead in the competition for the Friars Cup and they remain at the top of the tree this week too. The gap has closed to just seven points.

This is probably one of the closest races we have had over the years and it would take a brave person to predict a winner!
