Celebration Assembly – 6th May 2022
Another very busy week that fully reflected our Friars Values.
Well done to our certificate winners this week in KS1 and KS1, who impressed their teachers with brilliant skills such as scientific predicting, independence, perseverance, super focus, amazing concentration and fantastic homework.
Buddy Awards
We had four Buddy awards in KS1 this week. Well done to our buddies, who displayed friendship, kindness and helpfulness across the week and thank you to all of the children that took the time to nominate their class mates
Pen Licences
Another four pen licences were celebrated this week as Alvie, Mark, Alfie and Lillie-Rose all displayed consistently brilliant joined handwriting to earn these awards. Congratulations to you all!
PE Superstars
Our PE superstars this week were our Boccia and New-Age Kurling teams, who represented the school this week. Jessica and Harry were also recognised for the individual PE awards for their great leadership and team spirit during the tournaments played.
Attendance
The KS1 attendance cup was won by 1B who recorded 96.3% but it was Class 3JD who wowed everyone with a magnificent 100% attendance this week and as an added bonus, no late marks either. Well done 3JD – a great job!
Our overall school attendance stood at 94.9%. much closer to our usual 96% target. Let’s aim to get back to our target next week Friars!
Team Points
Well done to Stirling for winning the weekly team cup in KS1, and extra congratulations to Stormont, who rose to the challenge issued last week to claim the KS2 team cup.
Just 22 points separate Caernarfon from Windsor, their nearest rivals, in the race for The Friars Cup! It’s still all to play for, so a big well done and a ‘keep going’ to all of our teams.
Congratulations to all of our winners this week!
